Rusty's Cottage Buttercrambe

Rusty's Cottage is in Buttercrambe. It's one of a few converted farm buildings in our garden. It's all on one floor, which is handy.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. We've kept some of the old bricks and beams from the farm, so the walls aren't all smooth plaster. It feels solid.

You've got your own patio that gets the sun. It looks out over our field. We've got some sheep, chickens, and Shetland ponies out there. They mind their own business.

The village is quiet. The nearest shop and pub are in Stamford Bridge, about two and a half miles away. They're fine. The River Derwent is close by if you fancy a walk along it.

York is easy to get to. There's a park and ride at Grimston about ten minutes drive away, then it's a quick bus in. That's the best way to do it. You can spend a full day there seeing the Minster and wandering around.

Castle Howard is about twenty minutes by car. It's a big stately home with gardens. For a shorter drive, the market town of Malton is about fifteen minutes away. The Yorkshire Wolds and the Howardian Hills are right here for walking or cycling. The coast at Scarborough or Whitby is under an hour if you want sea air.

What's here: there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Parking is right outside. The wet room shower is walk-in. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
