The Dairy is one of two barns here at Aldmoor Farm. It’s a 4 Star place, which we keep to a high standard.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms upstairs. The main one has a king-size bed. The second room has two singles and a raised day bed for a fifth person. The bathroom's up there too, with a bath and a separate shower.
Downstairs is open plan. The kitchen has everything you’d need, and there’s a table to eat at. French doors lead out to a decked terrace and the private garden. The living area has a woodburner for cooler nights and a Smart TV.
Outside, there's a garden with seating and a hot tub. It uses fresh water, so it’s gentle on the skin. We allow up to two dogs. There's bike storage if you bring them.
The location is quiet, out in the fields. You’ll see hares and red kites. It’s good for walking and cycling. The nearest pub is in Burythorpe, about a ten-minute walk.
Malton is a ten-minute drive. It’s a market town with good food shops and cafes. Castle Howard is about fifteen minutes away. It’s worth a visit. York is half an hour by car for a day out. The coast, like Filey, is about thirty-five minutes.
Useful links for planning: National Trust Yorkshire and Howardian Hills. For the coast and moors, North York Moors National Park.
