Beaumont

This is Beaumont, in Morpeth. It's a standard terraced house on a residential street in Stobhill. You can walk into the town centre in about twenty minutes, or drive it in a couple.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs: one king-size, one double, and one with full-sized bunk beds. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden out the back is paved, with a patio and a table. It's enclosed.

Inside, the living room has a couple of sofas and a Smart TV. There's an electric fire. Through an arch is the kitchen diner, which has everything you'd need. The washing machine is in there. Off the kitchen is a conservatory which leads to the garden.

Morpeth is a nice market town. There are cafes, a few pubs, and the usual shops. There are good walks along the river. The railway station is about a five minute walk from the house, so you can get the train to Newcastle in under half an hour. Edinburgh or York are possible for a day trip if you don't mind an early start.

You're right next to the A1 here, so getting around Northumberland is straightforward. Alnwick Castle is about half an hour north. The coast at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is about eight miles east. If you head inland, you can get to Hadrian's Wall in under an hour. Kielder Water is about an hour's drive.

Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, WiFi, parking for one car on the drive. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a BBQ you can use.

For planning days out, these sites are useful: Northumberland National Park and National Trust North East.
