Hydee House
Hydee House is in Auldgirth, in Dumfriesshire. It's a detached house up a hill, so you get a good view over the fields. It sleeps nine people. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms. It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's well appointed.
The house is big. There are three separate living rooms and a games room with a pool table and darts. The kitchen is modern. The gardens are all yours, they're mostly lawn. There's parking right there.
It's a quiet spot. The village itself is small. You'll need to drive for a decent shop or pub, but Dumfries isn't far. You can take two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.
If you're looking for things to do, Ellisland Farm is just down the road. Robert Burns lived there. You can walk by the river. Dumfries is about fifteen minutes by car. That's where you'll find the main supermarkets and things like Dalscone Farm for kids.
For a day out, Drumlanrig Castle is maybe twenty minutes away. You can walk or cycle in the grounds. Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour's drive. It's good for walking. Because it's a Dark Sky Park, the stars at night are very clear if you get a good evening.
