The Cottage On The Green Chipping Norton

The Cottage on The Green is in a row of three on the outskirts of Chipping Norton. It looks out over a shared green with a couple of big old trees.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both are doubles. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One is an ensuite shower room to the main bedroom, the other is a proper bathroom with a tub. The stairs are standard for a cottage.

It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is in good order and it feels light. The living room and kitchen are all one space. The kitchen has a dishwasher. French doors open to a small patio garden that's fully enclosed.

You're about a ten minute walk into the centre of Chipping Norton. It's a proper market town with useful shops, a couple of supermarkets, pubs and places to eat. The theatre is there if you're interested.

You're right on the edge of the Cotswolds. For walks, you can start from the door into the countryside. The Cotswolds National Landscape site has maps and routes. The Rollright Stones, which is an ancient stone circle, is about a ten minute drive away.

Within half an hour you can drive to Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, or Burford. The wildlife park at Burford is good if you have kids. For a longer day out, Oxford is about forty minutes by car.

Facilities: it has parking on the drive, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
