Juniper Cottage is in the village of Hook Norton, which is in Oxfordshire, just outside the Cotswolds. It's a 17th century cottage built from local ironstone. It's been fully refurbished, so it feels fresh but with old bones.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which covers things like a modern kitchen and fittings.
Inside, it's mostly flagstone and wood floors. The living room has a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. The stairs are proper cottage stairs: they work fine, but they are steep.
The kitchen's been done out well, with a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a sunroom that makes a bright dining area. The garden is fully enclosed. There's decking and an outdoor kitchen area with a BBQ. It gets the sun.
The village is known for its brewery. There's a local pub within walking distance. You can get horse riding nearby. The market towns of Chipping Norton and Banbury are about a ten minute drive each for more shops.
For days out, you're on the edge of the Cotswolds. Blenheim Palace is about a 30 minute drive. Oxford is about the same. Stratford-upon-Avon is around 45 minutes.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site.
