Squirrel Cottage is in Hook Norton. It's a listed building, a few hundred years old, one in a row of cottages.
It's small, sleeps two. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. The stairs are quite steep, typical of these old places. The floors inside are stone, so it can feel cool underfoot. There's a woodburner for when it's cold.
You have a garden to use. It's private, with a table and chairs.
The village shop is a minute's walk away, and so is the pub. The pub does decent food. The brewery here is famous – the Hook Norton Brewery. It's a proper Victorian steam brewery and you can take a tour.
In the area, you've got towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water about a twenty minute drive away. Stratford-upon-Avon is within half an hour. If you want a longer walk or a day out, the Cotswolds are right here. The National Trust has several properties nearby and the Cotswolds website has maps and ideas.
It's got Wi-Fi and a TV. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
