The Old Sweet Shop
The Old Sweet Shop is in the village of Hook Norton. It’s a three-bedroom cottage, sleeps six. It’s old, so the stairs are narrow and a bit steep. It is rated 4 Star.
It used to be a sweet shop. There’s an inglenook fireplace and beams. There’s a games room with a console for kids. We put up Christmas decorations if you’re staying over that period.
You can walk to two pubs from the cottage. Both do food. The Hook Norton Brewery is here too, you can do tours. There’s a village shop about 500 yards away.
Chipping Norton is the nearest town, a short drive. It has shops and cafes. Blenheim Palace is about half an hour’s drive. You can get to Oxford in about 45 minutes. The Cotswold villages like Stow-on-the-Wold or Bourton-on-the-Water are within 30 minutes.
You can bring two dogs. There’s an enclosed garden with a barbecue. It has Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are here if you need them.
