Jubilee Cottage Enstone

Jubilee Cottage is a semi-detached cottage from the late 1800s. It's on the main road through Church Enstone, but there's a big garden at the back which is quite private. The garden is proper size, round a hundred feet long.

Inside, it sleeps five over three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It has the three star rating, which means everything works and it's comfortable, but it's not swanky. It's a cottage.

The pub is literally over the road, about a hundred yards. Good for a drink and food. The nearest bigger shop is a three-quarter mile walk away in the next part of the village. For a supermarket, you're driving into Chipping Norton, which is about five miles.

It's a good spot for getting out. You can walk the local lanes and fields straight from the door. You're on the edge of the Cotswolds. Places like Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are 20-30 minutes by car.

Oxford's about half an hour's drive for a day out. Stratford-upon-Avon is similar. Blenheim Palace is in Woodstock, which is maybe 25 minutes. There's a lot of National Trust and English Heritage sites around.

The facilities are what you'd expect: a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, parking space, Wi-Fi, dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
