Dove House Hollingworth

Dove House is the one up the lane, just before the woods. It's a small bungalow on its own. It just sleeps two, so it's for a couple really. The rating is 3 Star. That means it's clean and comfortable, but not a show home.

The main thing is the wood burner. It works well and we leave you plenty of logs. The room is open plan, so the living, kitchen, and sleeping area are all together. It's compact but it has everything you need. The shower is good and hot.

You can walk straight from the back gate into the woods. It's good for a proper walk or just a short stroll with the dogs. We're on site in the main house if you need anything, but you've got your own space and parking.

Hollingworth village is a few minutes' walk. There are a couple of pubs that do food, a bakery, and a takeaway. For a bigger shop, Glossop is about three miles away. It's got supermarkets and more pubs.

You're right on the edge of the Peak District. You can be walking in the National Park in about five minutes by car. Peak District National Park has all the maps and information. Edale and Castleton are about half an hour's drive. Hayfield is close, maybe 15 minutes. Manchester city centre is about 30 minutes in the car, or you can get the train from Glossop.

For facilities: there's a TV, WiFi, your own parking, and bike storage if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
