Alphin Apartment Mossley

Alphin Apartment is a first floor flat in Mossley. It's part of a converted barn next to our farmhouse. The main road runs past it, so it's easy to get to, but you hear a bit of traffic. The view from the front is over the fields towards the moors.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We refurbished it a few years ago so it's clean and modern. The stairs up to the flat are the original barn stairs. They're steep and a bit narrow.

You can walk to a couple of pubs that do food. The shop is about a twenty minute walk, so you'll likely drive. Mossley town centre is five minutes away by car.

The best thing is the location for walks. You're right on the edge of Saddleworth Moor. Dovestone Reservoir is ten minutes drive and it's really popular. That's part of the Peak District National Park. For a longer walk, you can pick up the Pennine Way not far from here.

Uppermill village is two miles down the road. It's got cafes, restaurants, and you can get onto the canal there. The Standedge Tunnel visitor centre is nearby if that interests you.

If you want to go further out, you can get into Manchester city centre in about half an hour by car or train from Mossley station. Heading the other way, Hebden Bridge and Haworth are about an hour's drive across the moors.

For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. The patio area is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. We allow up to two pets. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
