This is Alphin Apartment in Mossley. It's a first-floor place in a converted barn, attached to our farmhouse. We live next door. It was all done up a few years ago.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The views from the front are really good, straight out over the moors.
It's on a main road, which is handy for getting about. Uppermill village is two miles down the road. It's got a lot of cafes and places to eat now. There are a couple of decent pubs you can walk to from here.
You're right on the edge of the countryside. Dovestone Reservoir is about ten minutes away by car. You can walk straight onto Saddleworth Moor from here, and the Peak District starts just over the back. Good for walks.
Mossley town centre is five minutes the other way. There's a train station there less than a mile away. You can get into Manchester in about half an hour. Leeds is about an hour by car or train.
For a day out, Haworth with the Brontë Parsonage is about an hour's drive across the moors. So is Hebden Bridge.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. The garden bit is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. There's even a warm water dog wash.
