New Street Cottage is in Lydd. It's a town, but it's near the coast and feels pretty quiet. You get the whole cottage and a small garden, which is enclosed.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One double, one twin. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's decent and clean, but it's not a show home. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're steep. That's just how it is.
You're about four miles from the beach at Camber Sands. It's a long, sandy beach, good for walks. Dungeness is nearby too. It's a strange, flat shingle headland with a lighthouse and two nuclear power stations. It's interesting to walk around.
The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway is a 15-inch gauge steam railway. It's quite fun, runs from Hythe to Dungeness. You can get on at New Romney. The historic town of Rye is about a fifteen minute drive.
Lydd itself has the basics: a small supermarket, a few shops, pubs that do food. There's a golf course on the edge of town.
The cottage has a washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring two dogs. There's bike storage if you've brought them.
