Yew Tree House Cottage

Yew Tree House Cottage is in New Romney. It's right on the high street, so you can walk to the shops and cafes in a couple of minutes. It's a double fronted cottage, so it has its own bit of garden behind a wall.

It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom between them. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been finished to a high standard. Everything is new and properly looked after.

The kitchen looks out over the back garden. Through from there is the dining room and then the living room. Both rooms have wood burners for colder nights. The stairs are standard, not too steep.

The main thing people talk about is the garden. There's a raised deck area with an outdoor bath sunk into it. It's private because of the walls. You can use it year-round if you fancy it.

The beach at Littlestone is about a mile away. It's a long, sandy beach, good for walking. You can drive there in a few minutes or walk it in about twenty. The Romney Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway runs from Hythe through to Dymchurch, and New Romney station is a short walk from the cottage.

For facilities, it's all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, an enclosed garden. It says it's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

If you're planning days out, the Visit Kent site is useful. For the coastline and walks, the National Trust has good information. Dover Castle and Canterbury are both about a 40 minute drive if you want to see something historic.
