Gull House is in Lydd on Sea, on the edge of Dungeness. It's detached. You look right out over the shingle beach.
The house sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, one bathroom downstairs and a separate toilet upstairs. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not posh. The style is beachy, a bit shabby chic. It works.
You can watch the sun rise from the back garden. At night, with no streetlights, you can see the stars properly. The garden is enclosed.
The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch steam railway runs right past the side of the house during the day. You'll hear it and see it. A few steps over the tracks there's a pub and a seafood shop that also sells groceries.
Dungeness is a strange, flat place. Good for long walks on the shingle. The RSPB reserve is here if you like birdwatching. You can hire bikes locally to cycle around.
For a sandy beach, Camber Sands is about a 20 minute drive. Rye, with its old town, is about half an hour away. Hastings is 40 minutes in the other direction. Folkestone and Hythe are within 30 minutes.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
