Fulmar
This is Fulmar. It's a bungalow right on the shingle beach at Dungeness. The view is the main thing. It looks straight out over the Channel. You can see the White Cliffs of Dover from the windows. On a clear day, you can see France.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's all on one level, so no stairs. There's wooden flooring throughout. It's got a 4 Star rating and it's been done up well, it's comfortable.
Outside, there's a covered deck facing the sea. It has seating and a barbecue. You can sit out there even if it's drizzling.
Dungeness itself is a strange and flat place. It's a nature reserve, mostly shingle. There are the old fishing boats, the lighthouses, and the power station. It feels a bit like the end of the world. You can walk straight out onto the beach.
If you want to go out, Rye is about twenty minutes by car. It's an old town with cobbled streets. Folkestone and its harbour area are about half an hour away. Dover Castle is within half an hour too. For wider walks, the National Trust and Romney Marshes sites have good information.
Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, TV, WiFi, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. No pets, sorry.
