Helvetia is a wooden house right on the shingle beach at Dungeness. The view is completely open, just sea and sky. There's a telescope for looking at ships or birds.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up with a 1930s theme inside, so there's some Art Deco furniture and things. There's a wood burner for when it gets cold.
You're on the beach straight away. It's a very unusual place. Quiet and a bit stark. The RSPB reserve is right there if you like birdwatching. The old lighthouse and the power station are nearby.
Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway is about a ten minute drive. Folkestone is twenty minutes, with the Creative Quarter and the Harbour Arm. Dover and its castle are about half an hour away. Canterbury is forty minutes.
For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a BBQ, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
