Postbox Cottage is in Catacol, on the Isle of Arran. It's detached, so you're on your own. It looks right out west over the sea.
It's a four star place. That means it's well kept and comfortable. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one double and one with twin beds. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One is a ground floor wet room.
The living room has a French door that opens onto a patio. The view from there is the best thing about it, especially at sunset. You're about fifty yards from the water.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking and the garden is enclosed.
Catacol is quiet. Lochranza is close by if you need the shop or the ferry. The north end hills are right there for walking. You see a lot of wildlife: deer, seals, eagles. The local golf course is nine holes.
If you want to explore, Brodick Castle is about half an hour's drive. National Trust for Scotland looks after it. The whole island is good for walking and cycling. You can kayak from the bay if that's your thing. The water is cold.
No pets. It’s suitable for families with young children, we have a cot.
