The Old Manse Lochranza

The Old Manse is in Lochranza on Arran. It's one of the older cottages here. The stone's traditional but it's been done up inside, so it's bright and feels spacious. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Has a 3 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and clean. You’re not paying for anything flash.

It faces south. The garden gets the sun and you can see the hills from it. You’ve got the whole garden to yourselves.

You're right in Lochranza village. There’s a local pub, a butchers, a sandwich shop, and the Arran distillery. The ferry to Kintyre leaves from the little terminal here, if you fancy a trip over. Lochranza Castle is just down by the water.

There's a beach and the castle ruins. The wildlife is good. You’ll see red deer around here, often in the village itself.

For getting about, the whole island is within about half an hour's drive. Brodick with the main ferry, the big castle, and more shops is 20-25 minutes. The main golf course at Shiskine is about 15 minutes away in Blackwaterfoot.

Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, parking on site, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
