The Old Manse is in Lochranza, right up at the north end of the island. It's one of the older stone cottages here. We've done it up inside so it's bright and modern, but it still feels like a cottage. The garden is south facing, so you get the sun when it's out. You can see the hills from it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. Good for a base.
You're right in the village. There's a castle ruin by the water, and the distillery is a two minute walk if you fancy a tour. The local butchers is good. There's a sandwich shop, a restaurant, and a pub. The beach is just down the road. The little ferry to Kintyre leaves from here too.
For walks, you can head straight up into the hills from the back. There are red deer all over the place. The coast path goes right past.
If you drive, Brodick is about half an hour. That's where the main ferry comes in, and there are more shops. The whole island is easy to get around from here.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
