The Back House is in Catacol, on the north west coast of Arran. It's a detached cottage, behind the row of cottages called The Twelve Apostles. You get your own enclosed garden out the back. It's quiet.
It's a one-bedroom cottage, sleeps two. Got a 4 Star rating. Has a wood burner, which is nice in the evenings. The bathroom has a shower, no bath.
You're a few yards from the beach. There's a burn and the glen right there, so walks start from the door. You can see red deer, seals, that sort of thing. Red squirrels are about.
The village is small. For a shop or a meal, Lochranza is two miles up the road. That's where the Arran Distillery is, and the ferry over to Kintyre. There's a small shop at Pirnmill, three miles the other way.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Electricity is covered. You can bring two dogs.
