Croftbank is in Lochranza, right on the north tip of Arran. It's a bungalow so it's all on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem for anyone. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the water to Lochranza Castle. It's a proper, uninterrupted look at the whole scene.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden has a firepit and there's a summerhouse to sit in if it's a bit breezy.
You're about a minute's walk from the pebble beach. The local nine-hole golf course is just there too. The Arran ferry from here goes over to Kintyre. For a walk, the Arran Coastal Way starts nearby. You can see a lot of wildlife, including red deer right by the cottage sometimes.
In the village, there's the Isle of Arran distillery. You can do a tour. Lochranza Castle is a ruin you can walk to. For a bigger day out, Brodick with its castle is about a 25 minute drive down the coast. Goat Fell is there if you want a proper mountain hike.
Facilities are what you'd need: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Parking for two cars on the drive.
