The Apostles
The Apostles is in Catacol, a tiny village right on the west coast of Arran. The beach is basically at the end of the garden. It's one of a row of cottages they call the Twelve Apostles.
It sleeps four, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable, not new. The living room has a wood burner and a window seat looking straight out to sea. You can see the Mull of Kintyre from there.
The garden is enclosed, with a stone wall. There's seating to watch the sun go down. The third bedroom is small. It has a built-in platform bed, which is a proper single bed, just quite high up.
You're on the edge of the North Arran National Scenic Area. The views are good. You get walkers, golfers, and people who just want to watch the water. Lochranza is two miles up the road. That's where you'll find the Arran Distillery, a golf course, a pub, and the ferry over to Kintyre. The shop is in that direction too, about three miles.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
