Sea Whispers Cottage
This is Sea Whispers Cottage in Poole. It's a semi-detached house in Penn Hill, which is a suburb not far from the beach.
The house sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One bedroom has a kingsize bed, the other has a super kingsize bed that we can split into two singles if you ask beforehand. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable but not enormous.
There's a wood burner in the lounge and also in the kitchen diner. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure for dogs.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
Penn Hill itself is quiet and residential. For shops, restaurants, and that sort of thing, you'd head to Ashley Cross. It's about a ten-minute walk. They've got cafes, pubs, and a few independent shops there. There's a local pub within a mile.
The beach at Branksome Chine or Sandbanks is about a mile and a half away. You can drive, or it's a decent walk. The Sandbanks ferry to Studland is handy if you want to explore the Purbeck side.
Within half an hour, you can drive into the New Forest. The Jurassic Coast around Lulworth or Swanage is also about that drive. Poole Harbour is good for boat trips.
