This is Sandbanks 2 Sandcastles. It's a ground-floor apartment in Sandbanks.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. We had it all done up a couple of years ago so it's fresh inside. There's parking right outside, one space, behind an electric gate.
The main thing is it's single-storey and the entrance is level, so it suits people who need that. The stairs are not steep because there aren't any. The patio area is small, but it's out the front.
Sandbanks beach is about five minutes walk. It's a sandy beach, very flat, good for families. You'll see a lot of windsurfers and that out there. The chain ferry to Studland is at the end of the road. That's a quick way over to the Studland beach and Old Harry Rocks. It's a nice walk up to the rocks.
Poole town centre and the Quay is a ten-minute drive. You can get boats from there to Brownsea Island. They've got red squirrels over there. Poole Park has a little train and tennis courts, things like that.
Bournemouth is about fifteen minutes in the car. Seven miles of beach there. The pier has amusements and an Oceanarium. The gardens are good for a walk.
For a day out, the Jurassic Coast is about half an hour west. Corfe Castle is about forty minutes. The New Forest is a similar drive north.
What's in the place: dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
Sometimes the area gets busy in summer. That's just how it is.
