Bramble Cottage is in Ulwell, just outside Swanage. It's a 17th century cottage, so you get all the old wooden beams. It's actually two buildings side by side. The main cottage sleeps four, and then there's an annex right next door with a double room for two more. It means everyone can be together but you get a bit of space in the evenings.
The garden is enclosed and has a summerhouse at the end. It's quiet back there.
Because it's old, the ceilings are low in places and the stairs are steep and narrow, both in the main house and the annex. Something to bear in mind.
You're on the edge of the Ulwell Holiday Park. As a guest, you can use their indoor heated pool and the big kids' play area. The Village Inn pub and a shop are directly opposite the cottage, about 100 yards away. The pub does food.
The beach at Swanage is about two and a half miles. Studland beach and the ferry over to Poole are a short drive away. For a proper walk, the South West Coast Path is right there. Corfe Castle is about 15 minutes by car. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are maybe half an hour.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's parking on site. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the rest of the cottage isn't really, because of the stairs. Sorry, no pets.
