The Cow Shed Marsh Lane

The Cow Shed is on Marsh Lane in Derbyshire. It’s a converted farm building, so it’s got a big, open feel inside. The ceilings are high. It sleeps eight, but it’s a flexible eight. One bedroom can be a super king or two singles, and there’s a sofa bed downstairs. There are three bathrooms total.

You come in through the hall straight into the kitchen and dining area. There’s a big central island. The dining table seats eight. French doors lead out to the garden.

The living area has a log burner and large sofas. There’s a wooden divider that gives a bit of privacy to the sofa bed area. One of the bedrooms is on this floor. It has a super king bed and an en-suite.

The stairs from the kitchen go up to a mezzanine balcony. It’s a nice spot to sit. The other two bedrooms are up there, under the eaves. They share a bathroom with both a bath and a shower.

The garden is enclosed and private, with good views across the valley. There’s a patio, outdoor dining, and a brick BBQ. The hot tub is sheltered and seats six.

This place is next to another one called The Milking Parlour. There’s a gate between the two gardens. If you’re a bigger group, you can rent both and use both hot tubs.

It’s got a 4 Star rating. That means it’s well-finished. For facilities: parking, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, cot, highchair, stairgate. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.

You’re in Derbyshire, so you’re close to the Peak District. For walking, cycling, or just driving through, it’s all right there. Chatsworth House is about a 30 minute drive. Alton Towers is also within half an hour.
