The Stone Barn is on Marsh Lane, which is about five miles outside Bakewell. It's a converted barn on our farm. The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for dogs and kids.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have their own shower rooms. All the beds are king size or super king, but they can be split into singles if you ask us beforehand. The stairs are normal.
Inside, it's one big room downstairs with the kitchen, dining area, and living space. There's a wood burner. The French doors open right onto the patio. Outside, there's a table and chairs for everyone, a deck, and a brick barbecue. The hot tub is under a shelter so you can use it in any weather.
We allow two dogs. The garden is fenced. You're welcome to walk your dogs in some of our fields, just ask us when you arrive.
There are two pubs you can walk to from here. Bakewell is a ten minute drive for shops and cafes. Chatsworth House is about fifteen minutes away. For walks, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. Stanage Edge and Curbar Edge are close. Mam Tor is about half an hour by car.
For families, Chatsworth has a farmyard and playground. The Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath is about forty minutes. Alton Towers is around forty-five minutes drive.
It has a 4 Star rating. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and parking. We provide a highchair and a stairgate.
