The Old Stable

The Old Stable is in Dursley, which is in the Cotswolds. It's a stone barn that's been done up for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable.

The main room downstairs is all open plan. There's a kitchen area, a dining table, and a sofa. The TV is a Smart TV, so you can log into your own streaming services. It doesn't get normal TV channels, just so you know.

The bedroom is up on a mezzanine floor, looking over the living area. It's a king size bed. The stairs up are the sort you get in barns. They're fine, but they are quite steep and open, so you need to be careful.

Outside is a small enclosed terrace with a table and chairs. It's private. The garden is fully enclosed so a dog can't wander off. We can take one pet, sometimes two if they're small.

You're right on the edge of town here. The town centre, with shops and pubs, is about a five minute walk. There's a supermarket, a few cafes, and a couple of decent pubs. One has won awards for its food.

If you're walking, it's perfect. You can walk straight from the door onto the farm track and up to the Cotswold Way. Cam Peak and Downham Hill are great for views. For a swim or a gym session, the Pulse centre in town has a pool.

Within half an hour's drive you've got a few good days out. Slimbridge Wetland Centre is famous for birds. Berkeley Castle is about twenty minutes away. Cheltenham is thirty minutes for shops and festivals. Uley village has the Prema Arts Centre with a nice cafe.

Facilities: there's parking, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. It's a detached place, so no one else is attached.
