Hobgoblin Apartment is a one-bedroom flat on the ground floor in Glendaruel. It's in a quiet row of houses. It sleeps two and takes one dog.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well looked after. The bed is a double. The living room is a good size and there's a kitchen area. The bathroom has a shower.
There's a little private garden out the back which you get to through the hall. It's got a deck with a table and chairs. You look out at the trees at the end of the garden. It's peaceful.
The Wi-Fi is good, which isn't always a given out here. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Parking is right outside.
You're right in the middle of the Argyll Forest Park, which is part of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. There are forest tracks everywhere for walking or cycling. The Cowal Way long-distance path starts nearby at Portavadie.
Portavadie has a marina with a restaurant and a spa you can use. You can get the ferry from there over to Tarbert on the Kintyre peninsula. The village of Tighnabruaich is close, on the water. Dunoon is about a twenty minute drive for bigger shops and a leisure centre.
If you fancied a trip out, you can get a three-minute ferry from Colintraive over to the Isle of Bute. Rothesay is the main town there. Inveraray is about forty minutes' drive up Loch Fyne. The nearest proper beach is about ten miles away.
