Glendaruel Lodge is near Otter Ferry in Argyll. It's part of a group of cottages converted from an old farm steading around a courtyard. You get your own space.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, four bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The main thing is the land. You have access to 150 acres of woods and grounds. There's a lot of wildlife. You can fish for trout and salmon in the River Ruel. There's a fishing hut down there that's good for a picnic.
The cottage itself has a wood burner, a BBQ, and all the usual things like a washing machine and dishwasher. WiFi, TV, bedding included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right there.
It's remote. The nearest shop is about 13 miles away. There's a summer shop next to the farm, but that's seasonal. There's a pub that does food in Colintraive, about nine miles. A restaurant about seven miles away.
The coastline here is the main draw. The Kyles of Bute are about six miles away. It's a famous view, really beautiful water. Tighnabruaich village is nearby too, with a sandy beach, a few shops, and a 9-hole golf course. The sea is about five miles for a proper beach.
You're in walking country. Forest trails, coastal paths. If you want to drive further, Inveraray is about 40 minutes north. Dunoon is a bit further south.
Useful links for the area: Forestry and Land Scotland Argyll and Benmore Botanic Garden is a stunning day out, about a 40 minute drive.
