The Dairy is on the Home Farm estate, near Otter Ferry. It's a steading conversion, so it's one of several cottages around a central courtyard. You can't see your neighbours much though, it's quite private.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are normal house stairs, not the steep cottage kind.
You get the inside of the cottage and a bit of garden to yourselves. The big thing is the 150 acres of woods and grounds that come with it. You can just walk out. The estate owns a bit of the River Ruel for fishing. There's a fishing hut down there. You can fish for trout and salmon, no extra charge.
It's rural. The shop is about 13 miles away. The nearest pub that does food is in Colintraive, which is about nine miles. There's a summer shop next to the estate, but that's only open in season. The coast is about five miles.
Tighnabruaich village is six miles. It's on the water, has a small sandy beach, a few shops and a nine-hole golf course. The Kyles of Bute are there too. It's a famous view, the water is very calm.
Facilities are straightforward. Woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine. TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. You can bring one dog.
