The Stables is out at Otter Ferry in Argyll. It's a conversion, so it's all on one level which is good if stairs are a bother. It's got a proper wood burning stove which is great for the evenings.
It sleeps three. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second room has a single. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. You can bring one dog.
You're in the middle of about 150 acres of land here. It's all woods and fields. There's a river, the Ruel, that runs through it. You're allowed to fish for trout and salmon there, no extra charge. The fishing hut is a good spot for a picnic.
It's very quiet. The nearest shop is a 13 mile drive, so you need to come prepared. There's a pub that does food about 7 miles away, in Colintraive. In the summer, there's a small shop on the farm itself.
The coast is just down the road. Otter Ferry itself is a slipway and a few houses on Loch Fyne. For a proper beach, you're looking at about a 5 mile drive.
If you fancy exploring, the famous view of the Kyles of Bute is about 6 miles away. Tighnabruaich village is a bit further, maybe 9 miles. They've got a 9-hole golf course and a sandy beach there.
In the cottage you've got a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can park right outside.
