The Stables is on the estate at Home Farm near Otter Ferry. It's one of a few cottages around a courtyard, so you'll see other guests sometimes, but it feels private enough.
It's a two bedroom place, sleeps three. Everything is on the ground floor, which is handy. One bathroom. It's been done up well inside, modern but comfortable. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the space outside. You've got access to about 150 acres of estate grounds. Woods, the river, all that. It's quiet. You'll see deer and birds. There's a fishing hut by the River Ruel if you want to try for trout or salmon, it's included.
In terms of where things are, it's rural. There's a summer shop next to the farm itself, but it's not open all year. For a proper shop you're looking at about 13 miles. The closest pub doing food is about 7 miles away in Colintraive.
The coast is close. The Kyles of Bute are about six miles away, the view is famous for a reason. Tighnabruaich village is a similar distance, it's got a little beach, a golf course, and a couple of places to eat.
Inside it's open plan. There's a wood burner, parking right outside, wifi, and a washing machine. You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included.
