The Byre is in Otter Ferry, up in Argyll. It's part of a group of converted farm buildings called Home Farm. You're in the middle of about 150 acres of woods and fields here, so it's very quiet. Lots of wildlife around.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The main living space is open plan.
You can bring one dog. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
The location is quite remote. The nearest proper shop is about 13 miles away, so you need to come prepared. There's a pub that does food about 7 miles away, in Colintraive. The summer shop near the farm is useful for basics.
The beach is five miles. The famous view of the Kyles of Bute is about six miles down the road. Tighnabruaich village is about the same distance, it's got a little beach, a shop, and a 9-hole golf course.
If you like fishing, there's free trout and salmon fishing on the River Ruel on the estate. They have a fishing hut you can use.
