Home Farm Cottage is a fishing lodge near Otter Ferry. It's a single-storey stone cottage, so no stairs to worry about.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating because it's been done up nicely inside. Everything's comfortable and finished to a good standard.
You get a proper enclosed garden that's just yours. There's a patio area with a barbecue. The setting is rural, really quiet. You're right on 150 acres of private woodland. You can walk straight from the door. There's a fishing hut on the River Ruel, which is part of the estate. The fishing is free for guests.
The nearest village with a pub is Tighnabruaich, about seven miles. There’s a shop there in the summer, plus a nine-hole golf course and a sandy beach. Colintraive is nine miles away and has a good pub. For a bigger supermarket, you'd go to Dunoon, which is about a 30-minute drive.
The famous view over the Kyles of Bute is a short drive away. From there you can get a small ferry over to the Isle of Bute. Inveraray, with its jail and castle, is also within half an hour.
Facilities: there's a wood-burning stove, a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
