The Stable is one of a pair of semi-detached cottages in the grounds of Ardblair Castle, just outside Blairgowrie. It's quiet here, surrounded by fields. There's a little group of Highland cattle that wander about sometimes. They're quite tame.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's rated 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's parking right outside, and an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
The garden is yours to use. Inside, everything is on one level, which is handy. We include the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair in the cupboard if you've got small children.
You can walk into Blairgowrie in about twenty minutes. There's a shop, a few pubs that do food, and some cafes. The town has a golf course. For a bigger shop, Perth or Dundee are about half an hour's drive. Dundee has the V&A Museum if that's your sort of thing.
If you're here to be outdoors, you're in a good spot. There's fishing nearby, and lots of walking. The Angus Glens are right on the doorstep for proper hills. Glenshee, the ski centre, is about a 40-minute drive up the road. For a day out, Glamis Castle and Scone Palace are both within easy reach. The Loch of the Lowes wildlife reserve is good for seeing ospreys.
No pets allowed, I'm afraid. The other cottage, The Coach House, is next door. You can book both together if you've got a bigger group.
