The Stable is one of two semi-detached cottages in the grounds of Ardblair Castle, on the edge of Blairgowrie. It's quiet here. You look out over fields where a small group of Highland cattle live. They're friendly.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not a fancy modern box, but it's well looked after. The floors are solid. The walls are thick.
You're about a 25 minute walk from the town centre, or a few minutes in the car. Blairgowrie has the usual shops, a co-op, some cafes. There's a pub about a mile away. The local golf course is Rosemount, if that's your thing.
You're well placed for getting out. Glenshee ski centre is about a 30 minute drive for skiing in winter. For walking, the Angus Glens start nearby. Glamis Castle and Scone Palace are both about a 20-25 minute drive. Dundee and the V&A museum are about 40 minutes away. Perth is about half an hour.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and an electric vehicle charger. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
