Coille Mhor
This is Coille Mhor. It's in Spittalfield, Perthshire. A bungalow, so everything's on one level. It's detached, which means it’s quiet. You get the garden to yourselves, it’s enclosed and gets the sun.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one has a shower. It’s got a 3 Star rating. Honestly, that means it’s clean and comfortable but not flashy. It’s a proper family house.
The main room is open plan, the lounge and kitchen are all together. Patio doors go out to the garden. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there’s a washing machine in a utility room. There's also a place to store bicycles.
Spittalfield is a small village. There’s a good café here and an organic farm shop. The pub is about three miles away in Caputh. For a bigger shop, Dunkeld is six miles one way and Blairgowrie is six miles the other.
If you’re here for fishing, there are several local beats. There's golf near Dunkeld and Blairgowrie. For walking, you’re right in the middle of Perthshire. You can drive up to the Loch of the Lowes nature reserve or go into Dunkeld to see the cathedral.
It’s a handy spot. You’re on a back road but you can get to the A9 quickly. Perth is about half an hour south. Stirling and Edinburgh are about an hour and a half. If you want to head north, Pitlochry is 20 minutes away and Inverness is a couple of hours.
You can bring two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on the drive at the side.
