You're about six miles from Dunkeld one way and Blairgowrie the other. Both have shops, places to eat, and golf courses. Fishing is available on several local beats.
For a day out, you're close to lots of Perthshire scenery. You can be in Dunkeld in ten minutes to walk by the Tay or see the cathedral. Blairgowrie is the same. Further afield, Perth, Stirling, and Edinburgh are all within an hour or so by car. The National Trust for Scotland looks after Dunkeld Cathedral and other sites nearby.
