Waterloo Farm House is in Waterloo, near Bankfoot in Perthshire. It's a detached stone cottage. We had it rebuilt inside in 2019, so everything's new and works properly, but it still looks the part from the outside.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, which covers things like the sound system. There are speakers in the ceilings so you can play music throughout the house, or just in one room if you prefer.
There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen leads out to a small patio at the back. The main garden is at the front. It's enclosed, mostly lawn with a patio and furniture. You can use the barbecue.
The stairs are fine. There's a ramp at the front door for wheelchair access into the ground floor, but please note the bedrooms are upstairs.
You can walk to Bankfoot village in about 20 minutes, there's a pavement all the way. There's a shop there and two small hotels with bars. Dunkeld is about five miles away. It's a nice town for a wander, with a cathedral, some good places to eat, and walks by the River Tay. The Beatrix Potter exhibition in Birnam is worth a look.
Perth is ten miles away for bigger shops, a cinema, a theatre, and the museum. From Perth station you can get a train to Edinburgh in just over an hour, or north to Aviemore.
The house is on the edge of the hamlet. You can get straight onto footpaths and quiet lanes from the door for walks or cycling. You're about half an hour from Glenshee if you're into skiing in winter.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring up to three dogs.
