Heather Croft is on our land near Dunkeld, about two and a half miles from the village. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one floor, which some people find easier. It's detached and sits on its own.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One is an ensuite off the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's a good standard. It's very clean and we keep it well.
The place has lots of windows. They put them in to get the views out over the trees and fields. You get roe deer in the garden most mornings. The patio is a nice spot to sit with a coffee and watch them.
Dunkeld village has your basics: a couple of shops, a good butcher, and some pubs. The cathedral is worth a look. Birnam is just over the bridge, that's where the Beatrix Potter exhibition is. The River Tay is there for walks.
You're right on the edge of the forest here. You can walk for miles straight from the door. For a specific trip, the Loch of Lowes Wildlife Reserve is about ten minutes by car. They sometimes have ospreys. The golf course is next to it.
If you drive for half an hour you can get to Pitlochry, or up into the southern Cairngorms. Perth is about half an hour the other way.
What's here: there's parking right outside. A woodburning stove for the colder nights. TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring two dogs.
