Dalbeathie Cottage

This is Dalbeathie Cottage, near Dunkeld. It's a detached house in its own garden, but it's on a big estate with about eight acres of grounds. The estate sits above the River Tay, so there are good views. The garden is enclosed, which is handy.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which saves a lot of queueing. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after, not too fussy.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

You can walk straight from the garden into more woodland. There's a path that goes down to the riverbank on the Murthy Estate, which is good for a stroll.

Dunkeld itself is about two and a half miles away. It's a nice old town with a few shops, a couple of cafes, and some pubs that do food. There's a cathedral there by the river, which is worth a look.

From here, you're well placed for Perthshire. You can be in Pitlochry in about twenty minutes. The Hermitage woodland walk near Dunkeld is about a ten minute drive, and it's a good one. For a bigger day out, the Cairngorms National Park or the roads up to Braemar are under an hour's drive.
