The But N' Ben

The But N' Ben is our place near Dunkeld. It's a converted barn, so it's compact, just for two. You're in a quiet bit of woodland, but you're only about ten minutes by car from Dunkeld village.

It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept. Everything's on one level, which is handy. There's one bedroom with the bathroom right next to it. The main room is open plan, kitchen and sitting area together. The floor is polished wood with rugs.

You get a private patio area with garden furniture. Parking is right outside.

The setting is the main thing. Roe deer are often in the woods around the cottage. You can step right out and go for a walk. There's a forest right there with tracks for walking and cycling. An 18-hole golf course is about a mile and a half away, next to the Loch of Lowes Wildlife Reserve.

Dunkeld village has shops, a few pubs that do food, and the cathedral. Just over the bridge is Birnam, which has the Beatrix Potter exhibition. There are nice walks along the River Tay there.

Inside, it's got what you'd expect: TV, washing machine, dishwasher, and a shower. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if needed. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.

If you want to go further, Pitlochry is about a 20-minute drive. Perth is roughly half an hour. For a full day out, you can get into the Cairngorms National Park within about 45 minutes.
