The Cottage is in Bankfoot, Perthshire. It's on our land but it's a separate, detached building from ours. There's a proper garden for it that's just yours. You get down to it via a rough track. It's quiet and the views are good, just fields and trees.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's an old place, built for farm workers about 300 years ago. We've updated it but kept the feel.
The stairs are a bit steep. That's just how it is. Everything is on one level except the bedrooms, which are upstairs. There's parking right outside.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the evenings. It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are all included. We can put a cot in if you need one. You can bring one dog.
The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away. Perth is about ten miles. That's where you'll find the main shops, a theatre, and the museum.
For getting outside, you can walk straight from the door on the quiet lanes. The River Tay is close by if you're interested in fishing. Gleneagles is half an hour's drive for golf. You can get to St Andrews, Edinburgh, or Glasgow in about an hour if you want a day out.
