Hydrangea Cottage

Hydrangea Cottage is in Taynuilt, right by Loch Etive. It's a detached cottage in the grounds of Bonawe House, which is an old estate. It's quiet and a bit set back, looking over the courtyard and gardens.

The cottage sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's well looked after and comfortable. It's all on the ground floor, which is useful.

The living space is open plan with a kitchen at one end. The windows look out onto the courtyard. There's a small spot outside the front door to sit when it's sunny. The main gardens are shared with the other holiday cottages here, but there are plenty of benches.

You can walk into Taynuilt village in about 15 minutes. It's got a shop, a post office, a cafe, and a pub that does food. The station is there too if you're coming by train. Oban is about 12 miles away. That's where you'll find more shops and the ferries to the islands like Mull.

The location is good for getting out. Loch Etive is right there. You can walk to the shore in about 10 minutes. Bonawe Iron Works is just up the road if you like history. For a proper day out, the Cruachan power station inside the mountain is interesting, and Glencoe or Fort William are less than an hour's drive. There's lots of walking, and you might see eagles or otters if you're lucky.

In terms of what's there: it has a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's an electric vehicle charger.
