Hydrangea Cottage
It's called Hydrangea Cottage. It's in Taynuilt in Argyll, not far from Loch Etive. It's a detached cottage, set in the grounds of an old house called Bonawe House. It's quiet and private, and you can see the loch from the garden.
The cottage sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom, all on the ground floor. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's been modernised but it still feels like a cottage. The garden outside is shared with a couple of other holiday lets, but there's a bit of seating just for you.
Taynuilt village is about a fifteen minute walk away. It's got the basics: a couple of shops, a post office, a café, and a pub that does food. The train station is there too, which is handy. Oban is about twelve miles off. That's where you'll find more shops and places to eat, and you can get the ferry over to Mull from there.
The cottage is good for getting out and about. You can walk down to the shore of Loch Etive from here. The Bonawe Iron Works are just up the road if you're interested in that sort of thing. For a bigger day out, Glencoe and Fort William are within an hour's drive. Oban Distillery is worth a visit if you like whisky.
For things to do, I'd look at National Trust for Scotland Bonawe and the Walkhighlands Argyll site for walking routes.
What's here: parking right outside, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
