Rose Cottage is near Taynuilt, in Argyll. It's a detached stone cottage in the old courtyard of Bonawe House. You get the place to yourselves. It's quiet, and the view looks out over Loch Etive.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s been modernised properly but still feels like a cottage.
The living room is light and has a dining table. There's a small seating area outside the front door. The bigger gardens are shared with the other holiday lets here, but they’re wooded and peaceful.
You can walk to Taynuilt village in about 15 minutes. There's a pub that does food, a shop, a post office, a butcher, and a train station. The station is handy if you don't want to drive to Oban.
Oban is about 12 miles away. That's where you get the ferries to the islands like Mull. The town has all the shops and places to eat you’d need.
For things to do, you're right between the loch and the mountains. Bonawe Iron Works is just up the road. The Cruachan power station inside Ben Cruachan is a short drive and they do tours. Glencoe and Fort William are less than an hour away by car for walking or climbing.
