Rose Cottage is in Taynuilt, near Oban. It’s a one-bedroom place, so it sleeps two. You get the whole cottage to yourselves. It’s detached and sits in the corner of a courtyard at Bonawe House. The grounds and gardens are shared with a couple of other holiday lets.
It's got a 4 Star rating. They've renovated it so it's comfortable and warm, but it's still a cottage. The living room is light and you can see Loch Etive from there. Outside, there’s a small seating area just for you.
The village is about a fifteen minute walk away. There’s a pub that serves food, a shop, a post office, and a cafe. You can get a train from the station there too. Oban is about twelve miles west. That’s where you’ll find more shops and restaurants, and the ferry terminal if you want to go out to Mull.
If you’re driving, Glencoe and Fort William are under an hour away. For a day out, you’ve got the Bonawe Iron Furnace just up the road, or the Cruachan hydro-electric visitor centre inside the mountain. Inveraray is about forty minutes drive.
In terms of things here, it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, and there’s parking. The bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There’s an electric vehicle charger.
