Edwardian Wing

The Edwardian Wing is part of Bonawe House, an 18th century house near Taynuilt. It's the right-hand side of the building, over two floors. You get your own front door. The grounds are shared with a couple of other holiday lets, but it feels very private. The view from the front is straight down the garden and over Loch Etve. It’s quiet.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It’s been done up to keep the old features, like the panelling and the fireplace. There’s a piano in the sitting room if you play. The kitchen has a range cooker. The stairs are the original ones, so they’re a bit steeper than modern stairs.

Taynuilt village is about a fifteen minute walk. There’s a shop, a pub that does food, a café, and a railway station. Oban is twelve miles away. That’s where you get the ferries to Mull and other islands. There’s more shops and restaurants there.

The beach is half a mile down the lane. It’s shingle. For walking, you’re right between the loch and Ben Cruachan. You can visit the Bonawe Historic Iron Furnace just up the road. The Cruachan Hollow Mountain power station tour is interesting. Glencoe and Fort William are under an hour’s drive.

For facilities: bed linen and towels are included. There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Parking is on site. There’s an electric vehicle charger. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
