Invernoe Cottage is out on the Loch Etive side of things, near Taynuilt. It's a single-storey cottage, detached. It's on a big estate, a working sheep farm. So you'll see sheep, and the track in is about two miles of rough road. You'll want to take it steady in a low car.
It sleeps six. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, not luxury. Everything you need is there. The main thing is the view. You look right out over the loch to the mountains.
There's a big decked area out the front. Good for sitting out. You get a proper woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed, but keep an eye as it's a farm.
For supplies, the shop and the pub in Taynuilt are about four miles away. Oban is 18 miles. That's where you'll find bigger supermarkets, plenty of shops, and the ferry port if you fancy a trip to Mull.
If you like walking, you're right in it. You can head up Ben Cruachan, the hollow mountain. There's a visitor centre for that. Kilchurn Castle ruins are nearby, right on the loch. For history, Bonawe Iron Works is just along the road in Taynuilt, and Inveraray Jail is about a 30 minute drive.
