This is Etive View. It's a first-floor apartment in Bonawe House, which is an old house from the 1700s near Taynuilt. The place sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms.
The location is the main thing. You look straight out over the gardens to Loch Etive. All the main rooms have that view. It's very quiet.
There are two things to know. First, it's on the second floor. You get to it via two flights of stairs inside the main house. They're the original house stairs, so they're a bit steep and narrow. Just so you're aware. Second, the gardens are shared with the other holiday lets in the house.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has everything you need. The furniture is in keeping with the house. There's a full kitchen, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Towels and bedding are included. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger.
Taynuilt village is about a 15 minute walk. There's a shop, a post office, a café, and a pub that does food. The station is there too if you fancy a train trip. Oban is about 12 miles away for more shops and restaurants. You can get ferries to the islands from there.
For things to do, you're well placed. The coast is half a mile away. You can walk from the door. There's a golf course in the village. Historic places like Bonawe Iron Works are on the doorstep. The Cruachan Power Station inside the mountain is a short drive. Glencoe and Fort William are within half an hour if you want bigger mountains or climbing.
No pets, I'm afraid.
