Holly Cottage
Holly Cottage is in Taynuilt, near Oban. It sleeps four across two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The cottage is part of an old courtyard building at Bonawe House. It’s quiet and private, looking out over the gardens towards Loch Etive. You get your own sitting-out area at the back through the patio doors.
The stairs inside are normal house stairs. The whole place has been renovated, so it’s warm and modern, but it still feels like a cottage.
Taynuilt village is about a fifteen minute walk away. There’s a shop, a pub that does food, a café, and a golf course. Oban is about twelve miles east, which is where you’ll find most of the shops and restaurants. From Oban you can get ferries to Mull and other islands.
For things to do, you’re right by Loch Etive. You can visit the Bonawe Iron Works just up the road or go to Cruachan Power Station, the ‘Hollow Mountain’. There’s good walking and cycling from the door. Glencoe and Fort William are less than an hour’s drive away.
Facilities: there’s a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
