Blackmill Cottages No 2

Blackmill Cottages No 2 is in Taynuilt. It’s a mid-terraced cottage, all on one floor. We did it up a couple of years ago.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It’s modern inside. The wet room shower is walk-in, which is handy. The kitchen is compact but has what you need. A door from there goes to your own enclosed garden. There’s a sitting area and a barbecue. The view is over fields.

It’s quiet here, but you’re right by the A85 so getting about is easy. The village is a two-minute walk. There’s a shop, a post office, a butcher, and a café. There’s a station if you fancy the train.

You’re well placed for getting out. It’s good for walkers and cyclists. The National Cycle Route 78 goes past. For a swim, Airds Bay and Kelly’s Pier are a couple of miles away. They’re pebble beaches with good views over Loch Etive.

Oban is about twelve miles away. You can get the ferry to the islands from there. Loch Awe is close by for fishing or walks in Glen Nant. The Cruachan power station tour is interesting, that’s five miles away.

If you want to go further, Glencoe is under an hour north. Inveraray is about the same to the south. Fort William for the Ben Nevis area is also within reach.

Facilities: there’s parking, a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a bike store. No pets.
