Blackmill Cottages No 2

Blackmill Cottages Number 2 is in Taynuilt, Argyll. It’s one of a small terrace we renovated a couple of years ago. Everything’s on one level, which is handy.

It's a one-bedroom cottage, so it sleeps two. The bedroom has a double bed. The shower room is modern, it's a walk-in wet room. The kitchen is compact but has what you need. The door from there leads out to a small, enclosed garden with a table and chairs. It looks out over fields.

The cottage is 4 Star. It’s clean, comfortable, and recently done up. It’s quiet here but only a couple of minutes' walk from the village. Taynuilt has a shop, a post office, a butcher, and a cafe. There’s a railway station too.

You’re well placed for getting out. The A85 is close by for driving. For walking or cycling, you’re right by National Cycle Route 78. Oban is about 12 miles away. You can get the ferry to the islands from there. Loch Awe is nearby for fishing. The coast at Airds Bay is a couple of miles for a pebble beach.

If you like history, Bonawe Iron Furnace is in the village and looked after by Historic Environment Scotland. The Cruachan power station tour is about five miles away, inside the mountain.

In terms of facilities, there’s a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There’s bicycle storage. No pets, I’m afraid.
