This cottage is called Point Park. It's a detached single-storey house in Taynuilt, right on the shore of Loch Etive. It was completely renovated a few years ago.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. They all have zip-and-link beds, so you can make them doubles or twins. There are two bathrooms. The living room and one of the bedrooms look straight out over the loch to the mountains. The other bedrooms look over the garden. The house is about five metres from the water, with direct access onto the shore. It's very quiet. The main neighbours are wildlife.
Inside, it's well equipped. There's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. Plenty of parking on site.
You can walk to the village in about twenty minutes. Taynuilt has a shop, a post office, a butcher, a tea room and a restaurant. There's also a 9-hole golf course just up the road. The train station is there too, on the line from Glasgow to Oban.
Oban is about a twenty minute drive. It's a proper town with all the shops, restaurants, a cinema and a distillery. The ferries to the islands like Mull leave from there.
For getting out and about, Glencoe and Fort William are within half an hour's drive for walking or climbing. There's also Glen Nevis nearby. You're close to places like Cruachan Power Station inside the mountain, and historical sites like Bonawe Iron Works.
You can bring up to four dogs. The garden is enclosed.
