Sunnybank Lodge is a detached log cabin near the small village of Llanfynydd in Carmarthenshire. It's up a quiet lane off the main road, so it feels quite private.
It's part of the Pantglas Hall estate, which is 44 acres of shared woodland. The main, old hall isn't there anymore, but there's a mews building a short walk away with the leisure facilities. You get your own patio garden with a built-in barbecue.
The cabin sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's all log walls inside, which makes it quite cosy, and there's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The Wi-Fi is reliable.
On the estate, there's an indoor heated swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, and a hot tub. Outside, there are all-weather tennis courts, a kids' play area, and a football pitch. There's also a restaurant on site that does Sunday lunches and evening meals.
For days out, you're well placed. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is about a ten-minute drive. Aberglasney Gardens and Dinefwr Park are also very close. Carmarthen town is under half an hour away for shops.
The coast is about a 40-minute drive. Pembrey and Cefn Sidan beach is one of the longer ones around here. You can get into the Brecon Beacons National Park in under an hour for walking. The Gower and Pembrokeshire are a bit further, but doable for a day trip if you don't mind driving.
In terms of what's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, bed linen and towels are included, and there's on-site parking. There's also an electric vehicle charger. No pets, I'm afraid.
