Sunnybank Lodge is in Llanfynydd, Carmarthenshire. It's a detached log cabin on the Pantglas Hall Estate. You're up on a bit of a hill, so you get a good view over the woodland. The estate is 44 acres of shared woods, so it's quiet.
The cabin sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's a log cabin, so the walls are wood inside, and there's a wood burner. It gets the sun, hence the name.
Outside, there's a private patio garden with a built-in brick barbecue and some furniture. Good for sitting out.
On the estate itself, there's a leisure complex in the old mews building. That's a short walk from the cabin. It has an indoor heated swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, and a hot tub. Outside, there are all-weather tennis courts, a kids' play area, a football pitch, and mini golf. There's also a games room with snooker and pool tables.
In that same building there's a restaurant that does Sunday lunches and evening meals. Sometimes they do Welsh theme nights. There's also a coffee shop.
If you want to go out, the National Botanical Garden of Wales is about ten minutes away by car. Aberglasney Gardens are nearby too. For a big beach, Cefn Sidan at Pembrey is a drive, maybe forty minutes. It's a long, sandy beach.
The Brecon Beacons are within half an hour for walking. The coast around Tenby or the Gower is about an hour's drive.
What's included: all bedding and towels, a cot and highchair if needed, a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking right outside. There's Wi-Fi in the cabin. No pets, sorry.
