Sky View Cottage is a charming end of terrace cottage in the small village of Whauphill close to the beautiful coastline of South West Scotland. It has an open plan Lounge/Dining/Kitchen area and is the perfect getaway for two and your dog too!!! With its cosy wood burning stove this open plan living is cosy and inviting with comfortable seating where you can sit and relax after a busy day exploring the area. Surrounded by quiet country lanes this may be on foot or bike as there are miles of quiet lanes to explore. Sky View Cottage is the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside and is set amidst rolling hills and yet only a short drive from the coast and some lovely little coastal villages like Port William and Garlieston with a beautiful long sandy beach at Monreith. Along this rugged coastline there are stunning views over Luce Bay to the Mull of Galloway and the Isle of Man. There are an abundance of activities in the area from walking and cycling trails as well as golf, sailing, fishing and riding. A must is a visit to the world-renowned Logan Botanical Garden with its many exotic plants and trees. The UNESCO World Heritage site of the Galloway Forest, the UK’s only Dark Skies Park, home to the 7 Stanes, Kirroughtree and Glentrool mountain bike trails, numerous lochs and the Galloway hills is only a short drive away. On your return to this lovely property enjoy the beautiful skies and setting sun over Sky View Cottage.
